Earth Justice Recipes for the Planet
Eat Plants for the Planet- Why? Growing feed crops take a lot more water than growing produce that we eat. Especially in AZ, we need to conserve water.
Our 7th UU principle: Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part— But eating fish is ok, right? Well…. For planet earth: Commercial fishing heavily pollutes the oceans with plastic and fishing gear; it also kills more than 300,000 whales and dolphins a year in bycatch; “sustainable” label doesn’t guarantee that other fish were not killed; overfishing has caused species to grow smaller and smaller. The ocean cannot sustainably feed the population.
How? You need omega-3 but you can get it from plant food such as walnuts, flax meal and chia seeds as well as other nuts and beans. You might try the recipes below, which can also be gluten-free if you use white rice or other flour. Eat Plants for the Planet does not mean to deprive yourself!!!
