Civic Engagement & UUJAZ
The Civic Engagement group meets regularly to bring timely justice actions to each Sunday worship service. The group picks important issues for letters, postcards, petitions, and phone calls. The group also works with Puente, an immigrant rights organization, to support people in Arizona’s detention centers with pen pals and to show up for other actions as requested. For further information, please email civicengagement@phoenixuu.org.
Civic Engagement also works with the UU Justice Arizona Network (UUJAZ) to coordinate and promote statewide justice efforts among UUs, including our annual UU Day at the Legislature. See the UUJAZ web page for more information or see their Facebook page.
